Looks GreatJillI love this kitchen island but it was difficult to put together by myself and it is quite expensive. The black colorway is stunning but dust collects on the slats and it is very visible. My island didn’t come with a towel bar - maybe a manufacturing mistake.

Great, does have a few flaws on installation CarisaOverall, this is a great kitchen island. It replaced an older IKEA kitchen island that I had. Here are my gripes, when inserting the dowels there are 3 holes, they are all the same size except one is definitely not for a dowel. It got stuck and broke in half. I had to go to Lowe’s and buy a drill bit to drill it out. The 2nd trip to Lowe’s was due to the cam lock screws, one of them wouldn’t screw in and another was crooked. The third and final trip to Lowe’s was due to the front screws on the drawer. They did not screw in all the way. Believe it or not I for some reason after all the IKEA purchases over the years did not have any short screws. After 3 trips to Lowe’s however, it turned out beautiful and is a great place for my Vitamix and spirits. Thank you IKEA.
Happy with my purchase but...AlanFound assembling the piece to be rather easy but I enjoy a challenge like this. Instructions were excellent except for a couple of areas that I thought could use some improvement. Once built, the piece feels very solid. The thing I dislike the most is the quality of the drawer. It has a thick, black cardboard bottom and the self-closing mechanism does not operate smoothly. Overall, it feels cheap.

Nice overall design & size but few problems JulieI got this to match the larger version I got from IKEA. The wood top is similar but not exactly the same. The old one has a clear coat whereas this doesn’t. Also there are some scratches on top and chipped areas on the side. It was difficult to assemble to get all the pieces fit together. Because I like the overall design, I decided to live with the scratches & chips.

Great storageRhodaFirst, I bought 2 to organize my living space and they were so easy to assemble and provided so much storage, I went back and got 2 more. Would do it again if I had/needed the space.
The feet are adjustable for uneven floors. The drawer slides smoothly and is almost hidden. Sturdy and solid.

Quality has declined TeresaI bought this exact island five years ago loved it so much needed some extra space. Wanted to buy another one. Putting this one together they pre-drilled hole for the drawer we’re so off that we couldn’t use them and we had to instead use gorilla glue. Hopefully it works because it’s just been delivered today January 27, 2024.
The previous one I’ve bought no issues. This one has been a nightmare to assemble because holes for the left side of the drawer were about quarter inch too high and this made it so the bottom of the drawer could not be inserted.

Perfect, stable cutting board island!AthyI don’t have a lot of counter-space in my kitchen, so this island adds just the right amount. I keep most of my pots and pans I use most in the shelves! Love it!!

Pretty but not as shownStephanieThere were no holes on the outside for the towel rack. That was one of the selling points. Customer service said for us to just skip that part… umm we paid 400.00 for this to be as shown as it was in the store. Irritated but what can we do?
Hooray extra workspace in the kitchenJeffThis is a great storage and workspace for our somewhat cramped kitchen. The extra countertop is really helpful. The hardware included was missing a screw, but as with other Ikea purchases we made it work!
Great table, TERRIBLE instructionsJamesWonderful table, my wife loves it in the kitchen. As for the instructions, however......someone needs to go back to the drawing board. Very confusing and not easy to understand.

They are perfect for what we needed, well made and sturdy.
Only negative is-in store it’s shown with a towel handle on one side, we had no towel bar parts in either box we purchased.

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
