Affordable Curtains & Drapes - Textiles - IKEA Malaysia

A curtain might feel soft but it's very hard-working. It can keep out strong sunlight on a summer's day and the nosy looks of your neighbours, too. A thick one will even keep out draughts in winter. Best of all, it helps you give your home your personal style, whatever the time of year.

From bright days to cosy nights

Curtains help set the mood in every room, from letting in soft daylight in the living room to creating a more restful space in the bedroom.

How to choose your curtain

When choosing curtain fabrics, think about the mood you want to create and how much light you’d like in the room. Fabrics, textures, and colours all play a role in shaping your interior while balancing privacy and light control.

Block light completely and get full privacy. Great for bedrooms or media rooms as it offers full privacy even when the room is lit. In addition, it is perfect for keeping light out at any time of the day.

Block out

A darker shade reduces glare and lets in minimal daylight. These types of curtains are ideal choices for living rooms or workspaces. It prevents reflections on TVs and screens and ensures privacy by blocking outside views of silhouettes in the room.

Room darkening

Light filtering

Ideal for spaces needing modern curtain design. Gently filters light during the day, reduces glare and offers privacy. At night, when the room is lit, shapes and silhouettes may be visible, but outside visibility is still limited for added privacy.

Dimming

Allows natural light to flow in while gently softening the view. A great choice for airy living room curtains or for added layering with other curtains, offering elevated curtain design and light privacy without blocking brightness.
