Disappointed that there is no warrantyShielaI bought this in June 2023, paid full price almost $1k post-tax. Got it delivered and assembled. Now, I was chatting with support for help as the other side of the sofa is deformed, and I would like a replacement. Only to find out that what I bought has no warranty. My receipt split the frame and cover (obvs the frame has no warranty) which confuses why it was and the actual Kivik sofa has a different article number and that has that warranty in there. Make it make sense! I paid a very expensive sofa without your warranty!
So disappointed in the qualityAvrilI’ve always loved IKEA’s KIVIK line — it used to be known for being incredibly comfortable, deep-seated, and durable for the price. I was so looking forward to getting another one and had been saving up and planning for months. But unfortunately, the new version is not the same.
. The cushions are noticeably firmer and feel less plush, and the seat depth — one of the things I used to love most — seems shallower. No longer the perfect lounging or family movie-night couch.
The fabric choices also feel thinner and less substantial.. It feels more budget than it used to, which is disappointing, especially since the price hasn’t gone down (if anything, it’s gone up). I understand companies update designs, but in this case, it feels like a downgrade.
I’m genuinely so disappointed. I really wanted to love it again, but sadly, it just doesn’t live up to what it used to be. If you loved the old KIVIK, try before you buy — the changes might be a dealbreaker.
SuperMarianneVery comfortable. Love it!
VERY firm totally different from the floor modelHeikeWe tried the couch in the Ikea store in Richmond and it was comfortable, soft to medium firm. When we received our couch, the cushions were rock hard, it feels like a completely different couch.
