IKEA recalls IRIS and ALVINE Roman blinds for repair

If you have bought an IRIS or ALVINE Roman blind, with date stamp 0823 (yyww) or earlier we kindly ask you to contact the Exchanges and Returns Department of your local store or the Customer Services team on 0845 358 3364 to receive a repair kit by post, free of charge. The repair kit includes a set of cord stops and assembly instructions. No other types of IKEA window coverings are affected.
IRIS and ALVINE Roman blinds do not comply in full with a voluntary US industry safety standard for this type of product. The standard requires that blind operating cords are fitted with cord stops to reduce the risk of entanglement in cord loops.
The IKEA logo, supplier number and date stamp appear on a white label attached to the blind. IRIS and ALVINE Roman blinds with date stamp 0830 and later are fitted with cord stops and comply in full with the voluntary standard.
We do not compromise on product safety and therefore we recommend all customers concerned to attach the cord stop.

IKEA recalls KVIBY chest of drawers for repair
If you have bought a KVIBY chest of drawers, IKEA kindly asks that you contact the Exchanges and Returns Department of your local store or the Customer Services team on 0845 358 3364 to receive a repair kit by post, free of charge.
IKEA has received customer reports that a glass drawer knob has broken either during assembly or in use, causing injury. The breakages are due to over tightening of the screw fitting used to fix the drawer knob to the drawer front. The free repair kit comprises of six new drawer knobs and the fixing screws.
The effected KVIBY chests have a date stamp of 0817 or earlier. The date stamp appears on a label attached to the underside of the chest of drawers. All KVIBY chest of drawers produced with date stamp 0818 (yyww) and onwards are supplied with the improved replacement fittings.
IKEA apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. We do not compromise on product safety and therefore we recommend that all customers concerned replace the KVIBY fittings.
